Artist Bio
Mercy Lindell grew up in the historic french quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana. She attended high school at a creative arts conservatory. In the 2020 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, Mercy was recognized nationally as an American vision award nominee and gold medal recipient. She had been awarded silver and gold keys in the regional awards for three consecutive years prior to this. Mercy has displayed her work in final exhibitions at her high school as well as at the University of the Arts (Uarts) and Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) during pre-college programs. Outside of an academic setting, she has also exhibited her work in the Brand gallery and Phelps-Dunbar gallery both in New Orleans. Now, Mercy is studying at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (PAFA) as a prospective painting major with interests in printmaking and illustration.
